I read reviews carefully before deciding on a purchase. I also try to determine if the writer might have trouble understanding and/or following instructions.
The one problem I noticed most often in the one-star reviews was that the users failed to follow directions.
First, you need to keep your motor running while using this device. If you try to use this off the car battery alone, you will risk draining your battery or blowing a fuse.
Second, do not try to pump up all four tires at once. These devices run hot. Even the hose was very hot to the touch.
So, I purchased two of these machines that would allow me to pump up tires to my 2006 Dodge Caravan alternatively. While I’m pumping one tire, the other device is cooling off.
I made certain to touch every part of the machine for a temp check, before reusing it.
I guarantee that if I had only purchased one tire pump, and used that pump to fill each tire consecutively and immediately, I would’ve blown out the machine. It begins running hot on one tire. So, with one machine, I would’ve been forced to wait ten minutes between each filling, or risk losing the machine, altogether.
