If you…
– are looking for your first ultra wide monitor
– are looking for a somewhat aggressive curve (1500R)
– can get this monitor for under $500
I would highly recommend picking up this monitor.
This was my first ultra-wide monitor and I wont be going back. It’s great for gaming and writing code (i got sick of a double monitor setup).
The only issue with this monitor is that when dark colors are on the screen, there can be a bit of smearing. For example when I was playing minecraft, in a dark cave, moving quickly can cause the blacks to lag or “smear” which looks bad but you kind of get used to it.
Beware that you will need a decent video card to run games at this monitors native resolution. It falls between 4k and 1440p. I have a 6950xt and had no issues.
