Tastes so much better than it looks. I recommend large eggs. You can use precooked Canadian bacon, bacon, deli meat, anything pre cooked. The picture of the maker is after cooking, hardly any mess even with no oil. Shredded cheese I’ve learned can be messy but that’s because it’s shredded. I’ve never had leakage or had to use an over mitt but the whole unit does get hot so use one till you feel comfortable. I always cook at 5.5 mins and it turns out fine. I have only used English muffins so not sure how it does with other breads
